GaMi Lew is an independent fashion label based in Tokyo, Japan, dedicated to the art of draping.

Founded by designer Gabby Lewis, the brand explores how a single silhouette can transform through fabric, craftsmanship, and the moments that shape our lives.

Rather than designing around trends, GaMi Lew develops signature silhouettes that are reimagined season after season. Each piece is handcrafted using carefully selected textiles, allowing every garment to remain one of a kind while preserving its original form.

Inspired by family, culture, travel, and life's defining moments, every collection is presented as a series of chapters each telling a different story while remaining connected through the language of draping.

THE FOUNDER

Gabby Lewis is an American designer based in Tokyo whose creative journey began long before launching GaMi Lew.

With a background in styling, education, and garment construction, she developed a design process centered on draping rather than traditional flat patternmaking. What began as an exploration of fabric evolved into a signature approach where one silhouette can become countless expressions through different textiles and craftsmanship.

Since the brand's debut, Gabby has created hundreds of original draped garments across womenswear, childrenswear, menswear, bridal, swimwear, and accessories each one reflecting her belief that clothing should carry meaning beyond the moment it is worn.

For Gabby, fashion is not simply about creating garments. It is about creating memories through fabric.
